Disk Array 5SA PRO

This Disk Array 5SA PRO is Addonics latest back plane design with more refinement in mechanical fitness and several enhancement features. Designed to enable five 3.5"/2.5" SATA or SAS HDD/SSD to be mounted into a stack of three 5¼" drive bays, each drive is loaded into the drive slot of the Disk Array via a light-weight aluminum drive tray. The tray has built-in optional key lock to prevent the removal of the drive from the Disk Array. The unit comes with features such as dual speed selections for the cooling fan and three different over temperature threshold settings. There are LEDs for monitoring cooling fan failure and over temperature condition, as well as individual drive power and drive access.

*While the Disk Array 5SA PRO is capable of fitting into three (3) 5¼" drive bay stack on a desktop tower, some 5¼" drive bay has narrow metal flange on the bottom of the bay. This metal frange may cause possible obstruction for installing the Disk Array 5SA PRO. Click here for more information.

(1) Serial ATA hot swap feature works only with controllers basing on Silicon Image chip set from our inhouse testing. Other controllers that are not Silicon Image based may not support hot swap. You may consider adding one of the Addonics Serial ATA host controllers to your systems to ensure the hot swap capability. New controllers from Intel and other suppliers may finally support this feature. Please verify with your controller manufacturer if you need to have hot swap in your application. Hot swap is supported in Windows 2000 and XP only. On other OS, drive can be removed without crashing system. But replacing with a different drive can result in crashing the OS.
