1:5 HDD/SSD Duplicator Deluxe C

About the 1:5 HDD/SSD Duplicator Series

The latest Addonics 1:5 HDD (Hard Disk Drive) Duplicator can copy as many as 5 target drives from a single source, making this the ideal solution for production or data distribution applications. Addonics 1:5 HDD duplicator operates totally as a stand alone. There is no computer needed or complex software to operate. Set up is accessed via a LCM control panel on the front of the unit. Once configured, simply insert up to 5 hard drives of equal or larger capacity than the master drive into the duplicator, load the master hard drive, lock the drive door and push the start button to start the copying process.

About This Model:

The Deluxe-C model is a 1:5 HDD or SSD duplicator with integrated Snap-In Mobile Rack allowing hard drives to be easily added or removed from the system just like an ordinary cassette tape. The duplicator is built on a chassis with smaller foot print and lower power consumption. Any SATA 3.5" and 2.5" HDD or SSD can be used as a source or target device.  There is also choice of a High Speed model that maintains a steady high performance duplication from one to five drives.

3.5" SATA hard drive or 2.5" SATA hard drive using the 2.5" - 3.5" drive adapter (Snap-In 25) are added directly into each drive bay without any special tool

Features highlight:

  • Compact size: ~ 2/3 the height and weight of the Deluxe model
  • Copy from 1 - 5  2.5"/3.5" SATA hard drives
  • Source drive and target drive can be 2.5" or 3.5" in any mix.
  • 3.5 drives are added or removed directly from the source or target bay without any tool
  • 2.5" drives are added via a 2,5" - 3.5" drive converter box, Snap-In 25 (model: AE25SN35SA). One Snap-In 25 is included. Addition Snap-In 25 are required in order to copy more than one 2.5" SATA hard drive

Note:

  1. requires additional Diamond IDE drive enclosure (model: DISCSB) for each target drive
  2. requires 2.5" to 3.5" IDE connector converter (AA25IDE35) for each target drive
  3. requires additional Diamond Cipher SATA drive enclosure (model: DCSACS256) in conjunction with your encryption key for each source or target drive. Please check the detail of the Diamond Cipher product at Diamond Cipher overview page if you are not familiar with this option.
Data copied to a target drive inside the Diamond Cipher enclosure will be encrypted with AES 256-bit security. Data in the drive will not be accessible when remove from the drive enclosure. You can only access the encrypted data
When Diamond Cipher enclosure is used as source, only hard drive that has been encrypted with the Addonics AES 256-bit encryption should be used. If an non-encrypted hard drive is placed inside the Diamond Cipher drive enclosure and use as a source drive, no data will be copied as the drive will appear as a blank drive to the duplicator.
  4. requires 1 additional Snap-In 25 (model: AE25SN35SA) unit for each target drive
  • Copy or duplicate up to five drives at one time
  • Great for cloning hard drives, making back up hard drives, system upgrade and data distribution
  • Supports 3.5" or 2.5" SATA hard drives (additional 2.5" drive adapters, model AE25SN35SA, are required to duplicate more than one 2.5" SATA hard drives

  • Drives are added into or removed directly from each drive bay without any special tool
  • Support any type of file format
  • Maximum drive size >3TB
  • Drive sanitization:
    • SECURE ERASE - HDD duplicator sends a WIPE command to the hard drive. This command fills 00 string to entire HDD
    • OVERWRITE - One pass, 3 passes and 7 passes 5220.22-M.  The duplicator writes a string of pattern over the entire disk one time, three times or seven times.5220.22-M is the DoD standard for drive sanitization
  • LCM control module provides a rich set of robust advanced configuration options (click Full LCD console feature list to see a complete list of this duplicator functions)
  • Operate as a stand alone appliance. No computer or software needed

The speed here is for reference only. The speed were measured basing on using 3.5" SATA III 250 GB hard drive for both source and target. The transfer rate varies depending on the speed of the source and destination drive

  6. Once completed, it will reboot and show you the new firmware version

Please note that some drives may become locked and cannot be initialized after the SECURE ERASE or OVERWRITE. Should this happen, use the following procedures to unlock the drive:

  1. Place drive in the source slot
  2. Execute "PreScan" function for 1 minute
  3. Press "ESC" key until you see "User Abort" on the LCD screen
