Overview
This Addonics 2.5" M2/mSATA SSD drive is a flexible flash drive kit designed to turn a regular M2 (NGFF) SSD or mSATA SSD into a 2.5" SSD. There is no longer a need to have two different flash drive kits for the M2 or mSATA media. The drive frame and the connector mimic the exact size and connector location of a 2.5" SATA hard drive. So once the M2 (NGFF) or mSATA SSD is mounted inside this 2.5" Flash drive kit, it can be used just like a standard 9 mm 2.5" SATA hard drive to directly replace the 2.5" hard drive in Notebook or any computing equipment. This 2.5" Flash drive kit is a simple economical solution to replace a mechanical hard drive with a low power, shock resistant and high performance Solid State Drive.

Using the 2.5" M2/mSATA Flash drive as a 3.5" SATA hard drive
By using the optional 2.5" to 3.5" drive adapter (also called Snap-In 25, model: AE25SN35SA), this 2.5" Flash drive can be used to replace any 3.5" SATA hard drive as shown in the following illustration..

Features

Note
1 There are three types of M2 SSD: M2 SATA SSD, M2 PCIe SSD and M2 NVMe SSD. M2 SATA SSD uses SATA interface, the same interface on SATA hard drive, and is the only type of M2 media supported by this adapter.
